Finding Micasa
( survived 1st trimester. no morning sickenss. bigger tummy. bigger boobs. ass keeping in shape - for now. thanks sof for Palmer's Cocoa Butter tip, Ylanda for pregnancy jounal book that's my bible rite now, Ezly for decaf reminder, and you-know-who-you-are for power hugs and positive vibes from Europe)We found a brand new home today we will call home. It felt right the moment we walked in.
On a golf course (for Mr J.) With a community swimming pool and rec center (for Ms J) and a 'TotLot' a.k.a playland (for littleJ).
High ceilings and cosy fireplace in the family room,
a cute nursery room (so littleJ can be near mommy and daddy but not in the same room),
a study (where mommy can go on line with auntie Lita while breastfeeding - the baby, not lita - eugh!),
a formal dining room (to present burnt roast turkey to the in laws this Thanksgiving),
a formal sitting area (so we can be house proud and still make a mess)
a guest room (to house Aunties Diaz, Lita, Halva, Rose, TheBody when they come avisiting)
a 2.5 car garage (the o.5 is to give room to mommy's poor parking skills that often takes up 2 parking spaces)
an open plan kitchen and breakfast bar (so mommy can be frantic at the oven while still watching Desperate Housewives)
a his and hers wash basin (so mommy doesnt oust MrJ from his bathroom counter space)
a walk in wardrobe (where MrJ will definitely oust mommy from her wardrobe space)
an unfinished basement (for future renovations..MrJ says this can be junior's baby sister's room and junior's baby sister's little brother's room. Mommy says lets turn it into a wine cellar or an entertainments centre.)
a deck from the family room into the garden (for a spot of BBQ in the winter sunshine)
overlooking the Rocky Mountains.
The house is a mid range property in a community area where properties can go up to over a million USD. But everyone seems pretty friendly - no one seemed snooty (Ms J checked out the clubhouse for arrogant residents and all clear on that front), and people dont seem to be the type to 'pee in the pool' (Ms J's pet peeve with common pools).
The name of the community area is Vista Ridge.(check out the 2 min video)

But I'm not too hot about the name of the town...Erie(pronounced..Eerie).
I think its simply eerie that I am to live in a little country town where the next summer event is the Pet Lookalike Contest and World's Shortest Pet Parade.
The nearest Barnes & Noble is a good 10 mins drive away, and I have to get onto the interstate to get to Foleys/Nordstrom/Saks.
Note to self: must remind self that yours truly originates from a little town up north, so this is really just going back to my roots - another little town, in another country across the pacific ocean.

Glad that you're settling in well, over there, Ms. J. :)
Your county has got a pet lookalike contest? Wow! Cool! Must it be real pets or can it be fictional pets - like the Pink Panther?
